Phuentsholing to Thimphu n/stay

Thimphu to Dochula, Punakha & Wangdue sightseeing & back to Thimphu n/stay

Morning drive to Dochula pass (3,080m) that heralds the most enchanting views of Bhutan. Later drive to Punakha and Wangdue visit PUNAKHA DZONG built strategically at the junction of PHO CHU & MO CHU River. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu


Punakha to Paro n/stay

Moring drive on the road side seen & n/s Paro. After breakfast drive to Paro en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, it now houses the School for religious studies. Afternoon in Paro visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as Watch Tower since 1967 it is serving as the National Museum of the country and holding fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan's exquisite postage stamps.


Explore Paro

After breakfast drive north of Paro valley to ruins of Drukgyel Dozng. From this fort Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Morning drive to chellela view point local sightseeing and drive back to Paro and overnight stay at hotel in Paro.


Paro to Phuentsholing drop

After breakfast drive north of Paro valley to ruins of Drukgyel Dozng. From this fort Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Nearby visit traditional Bhutanese Farm House which offers good insight into lifestyle of local people.

  • Thimpu Dzong
  • This Dzong is an amazing place to be visited and it is the prominent landmark of Thimpu . Located at the bank of wang chu river this Dzong means “Fortress of Glorious Religion”. It is an example of an amazing architecture and house of various government departments.

  • Punakha Suspension Bridge
  • This is a amazing place to visit as the bridge is 160 meters long and it is connecting the villages at the other end. It is the longest suspension bridge over Po-Chu river.

  • Tango Buddhist Institute
  • This Buddhist institute is an education institute for Buddhist monks where they study their religious books and texts. The Tango monastery comprises of six temples located inside it.

  • Rinpung Dzong
  • This beautiful Dzong was built in 1644 which is a sightseeing fortress in Paro. It is a famous tourist destination to be visited and it is known as Paro Dzong. This Dzong actually serves as judicial court and residence for several government officials.

  • Gangteng Monastery
  • This Gompa is also known as Gangteng monastery. This monastery is very beautiful and one of the largest of Nyinmga monastery.
